It's a fun little machine to take up and down the tracks. [IMG]

Not the greatest picture but maybe we can get things rolling!

Looks great Charlie, I only wish my old PC would run the train sim but it can't. To upgrade or not? Need more than trainsim to warrant it. Oh well I will just enjoy all the entries.

Charlie, I caught a glimpse of this as I was running the Empire State Express. Actually this is a blatant pitch for TrainArtisan. I don't even have Train Sim, but Watash and I have helped these guys and they keep in touch.

I emailed Rob to ask permission to post one of his views here, but he hasn't answered yet. It would have been ideal for the story I told in "On the Rails". They really did a bang up job on their sims.

P.S. No word from Rob yet!

Watash, I assumed Rob had released that, but he didn't, as yet, so I had to change what I "saw" to a Shark that he sent me. Notice the change? :(

How do you get screenshots from trainsim? I remember reading it somewhere on the box or in one of the manuals, but I cant find it anymore. Thanks for the help.

NSBrakeman, I don't know how you get a shot from the actual trainsim. The stuff I got has been sent to me by someone who already "froze" it. Can you right click on a scene just like you do a photo, and save it as a photo? I would try that. ;)

    "Print
    Scrn
    _____
    SysRq"

Button has never "worked" on my computer!

I have even tried holding down on SHIFT, on CONTROL and on both.

The only time I ever got any responce was to "File, Print to a File, then it ended up in some MICROSOFT WORD thingy but was all just gibberish and little squares and couldn't get out of that at all. NO buttons or keyboard keys worked, so finally had to unplug computer to get back to the desk top.

You guys make it sound so easy, but there is a whole lot you don't tell us, that you seem to expect us to know.

    watash,
If you have been trying the PrtScr button, then you may have already created some print screen files.?
When running the MSTS Activity(driving train) and you press the PrtScr key (no other keys, only PrtScr) then a file is created with the prefix name of 'scrgrb0.pcx' ....... each new file increments in number..... scrgrb1.pcx,scrgrb2.pix and so on.
Run your hard drive 'Search'/ or 'Find' to see if any of those file names exist (scrgrb*).
They should be located in directory:
    C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Train Simulator

The *.pcx files can be read with most Graphic Art Applications. You can also use the standard Windows "Paint" application located under Applications.

Run the Graphics application and then open the file (scrgrb#.pcx) into it.

When using PrtScr outside of the running MSTS Activity, the file is only copied to the 'Clipboard' (Cut). You then must open a Graphics Art application and (Paste) the Clipboard into it.

Sorry it's easier done then explained....
Would like to see some screens, I hope you don't give up to soon.

    ...Eddie
