Here is the latest plan for my N-scale railroad.

I hope it uploads : ) I can't get the connection made on the far right turnout with 3rd planit for some reason. And yes that is a 90 degree crossing where the two pieces of benchwork meet : )

There it is! The link you put in the post was to silvercaboose.gif The file name on your web site is silvercaboose.jpg, so I fixed the link for you.

    Now to the important part:

The plan looks pretty good. 3rdplanit has placed easements on your curves. This is a very good thing, but notice that the 90 degree crossing has an easement through it. If you are planning to handlay the crossing then this is not a big deal. However if you are planning to use commercial crossing you will need to swing the main line a bit further to the left of 'Truckin' so the crossing is truly 90 degrees.

Thanks for fixing the link...duh! I have already laid most of the track and it is a true 90 degree piece of Atlas track that I laid. Is there a problem with this design? I used to have a curve there but it was a pain to reach over and fix track, derailed cars etc... This works much better so far. And also thanks to Watash for alot of the ideas on this layout design [IMG] I don't know why I can't get the turnout and the straight pice of track to connect at the far upper right hand corner. I am sure I am doing something wrong in 3rd PlanIt [IMG]

You CAN connect the turnout and straight piece of track in the upper right hand corner, all you have to do is Hold your mouth right when you do it! :D
