It's taking time but is slowly making headway.
The first photo is the deep sea port at Tayside. No fascia board yet and it will take time to build all the buildings and a ship or two to complete this area. Taken with my cheepie digital camera. [IMG]
Next picture looks the other way towards what will be the fishing harbour.

The track laying gang have finally reached the prairie town of Harris

Looks nice. I visited you r website, and was looking at the layout plan. Are these pictures of that plan? How large is the layout going to be. I wish I could have done a penninsula or two on mine, but I didn't have enough room.

How did you do the water????

Russ and Garth, The water is made by putting a thin layer of drywall plaster over plywood then dabbing it with a wet sponge to create a ripple effect. I then painted it gloss black and when dry, coated it with a thinned blue. When that dryed I coated it with a marine spar varnish. It now has four coats of the varnish.
The track plan update shows yellow highlight for the amount of track I have laid so far. [IMG]
The layout is in a basement room that is 11ft by 27ft. The squares in the drawing are 12inches. I create the plan with Atlas's free software
