NS has been taking delivery of their new units in primer and painting them in their own shops for some time now. I think it was originally so they could get them on the rails (in service) quicker. A week after this photo was taken, I caught a pair of new SD70M's , also in primer (although the GMD primer is a much lighter, tan color) Harold
here's another 3 GE unit lashup... the first unit is painted in the newest "Horsehead" scheme, the second unit in primer, and the third, a long way from home! Harold
I see CP is in on the power sharing thing now, first time i've seen a CP unit mixed up in some other RR's consist.
