    That's a tough call. Keeping things easier to reach would be preferred, but I have spot on my layout were the track runs in a sort of trench around what will be a town and I just do not like the way it looks.

    Perhaps you could put that turn around underground? You could have a retaining wall further up as the track makes the transition kinda like subway portal that goes from street running to underground.

    If lowered, I was debating whether to do as a subway, or just sunken. I guess I could have included in the original question. Maybe have the subway "open" along the edge of the bench/fascia, and have a station platform (i.e., the station is where we're standing and looking in).

    The shed looks great I am jealous. Is it going to have heat and AC?

    The shed has an electric plug-in heater. We're only a mile from the Bay, so there are few days in the year when AC is needed; most afternoons, especially in summer, are foggy and breezy. We don't even have AC in the house!
