The Happiest Train

Here is a picture of a train, look at the front and spot the..................You will have to find it.

I didn't see it right off, but my nine year old daughter caught it right away. She asked if that was a new 'Thomas' and said orange is not a good color.

 

A "happy" looking locomotive. Excellent shot!

The lights in the nose look like eye balls.

 

It does have a vague "Thomas" look. Nice catch.

Barbara, if you lived out here on the left coast, years ago there was an airline known as PSA, Pacific Southwest Airlines. All of their planes had happy faces. Here's one at the Farnborough air show in England, in 1974, with a Franco-English product as well, the Concorde.

 

Fitz, Didn't PSA call their planes "Mother Grinning Birds"?

 

Hank, I never heard that one before, but it could be the competition's name for them. They operated much like the east coast shuttle, flying almost hourly between SFO and LAX, as well as other places.

 

Barb started this thread last January. With all that has been going on lately, I thought it might be nice to bring it forward again. Let's see how many more "happy" trains we can find.

 

Here is one Ed sent me awhile ago. OOPS! I have missplaced the email from Ed, so I can't prove if he said I could post it or not. Sorry

(I still think he did though) but just to be sure, it is gone.)
