Due to a shortage of power on the sub division 2 Tex Mex locomotives have been leased to switch the local industries around Sherman. 2 geeps one a GP 7 and a GP 35 were utilised to switch the Farmers feed and seed industry 1.Tex Mex Geeps with 4 MKT boxcars depart Ranoake yard heads for Farmers Feed and Seed. 2. The switchers pass Sherman cement siding on route to enable to switch Farmers Feed and Seed 3. The train has just passed Stringtown and is heading towards Nth Sherman junction. 4. Passing Nth Sherman Junction running in the wrong running direction 5. The train drops off th4 MKT boxcars clear of Framers Feed and Seed siding and picks up 3 empty grain hoppers 6. With the boxcars dropped off and the empty grain cars attached the Tex Mex locos head towards Raonoke Yard. 7. The Tex Mex locos are utilised switching an empty grain train to the UGG grain terminal A special thanks to Flash Blackman for enabling the Cheyenne Sub-division the opportunity to operate these locomotives on the division.
Thanks for sharing. Man, I am jealous. Green with envy for sure. Both for the opportunity to run such cool power on your layout and of Flash for being able to run on your layout.
Those Tex-Mex units must have seen a lot more scenery on the Cheyenne Sub than they ever see in their home between Corpus Christi and Laredo. A tunnel yet!!! However Cheyenne Sub shows no evidence of flat metal cutout palm trees-- a Corpus Christi scenic anomaly.
It's always a pleasure to have Flash here, anyone is welcome to operate the layout it makes it all the worthwhile. Those Tex Mex units are sure nice looking units and Flash has put some extra detail into it. You might also notice the UGG hopper is one that Flash gave me for the layout so it is the pride of the grain fleet
