'Proof of Concept' on my lighted yard lights !:cautious:

Took one of the static yard lights and removed the bamboo skewer. Placed the light fixture over one of the leds on a small 6 light flashlight. I covered 5 of the leds to try and stop some of the light bleed over.

It looks like the lighted yard lights are going to work !! :D:D(y)(y)

Wiil be ordering 'supplies' soon. Hope to have the yard lights lit and installed before the snow gets so deep I cant get out to THERR RV...lol :ROFLMAO::LOL:

~ Special Thanks to Carl Sowell for the tips and links ~ (y)

I bought and cut two 36" x 1/8 brass tubes today. I replaced the bamboo skewers with the 7" brass tubes I cut. :)

I am taking photos and will make a NEW build thread on 'THE Yard Lights' as I go...(y)

See what you guys started in that other thread !!!

Now you have me thinking I could take out the water tower in one back corner and take out the celltower in the other corner and put in a scenic tram system back there..

Which would be true if I was actually using it for power lines between telephone poles. I will be having an 8 foot span between towers on the sky tram. With 2 tram cars hanging below the cable I am not sure how much sag the ez line would give. Thats why I'm thinking stiffer Spyderwire fishing line might work better in this application...;)

At some point after it's in. You will pause and look at it. Your mind will begin to wander. The idea department kicks in and then there comes the tear down because you didn't like the background and want to relocate it. Lights or no lights. Then the idea will strike that it needs to go over Fjords, mountains, a small valley with snow topped mountains. Or how about a theme park? Then the layout isn't good enough for it and yep, we are going to have to change it. Move, who said we were moving and it will all come to a screeching halt.

Then (long pause for affect) it's restoration time. Ask me!

Never mind the coal mine, next to the copper mine, and how the ore gets transferred to the railroads. Fight with that one for an hour. It will out arm wrestle you every-time.

Sad Day  This may be the end of THERR RV :(:(:censored::censored:

Earlier this week we had some nice weather. I went out and releveled THERR RV. It has a tendency to sink the tires in the ground after a few years. All went well.

Then it has been rainng for 3 days straight

Today I went out to the trains...opened the door and the place is flooded !!

There is water leaking in everywhere ! :(:(

The walls are soaked. The cabinets are soaked. The water is running out the upper cabinets ! The layout is soaked. Freight cars are soaked. The locomotives seem to have survived the water...they are dry and brought inside. My workbench is beyond soaked ! The floor has about a 1/2 inch of water on it ! Water is still running in. The ceiling panels are laden with water.

I jacked the RV up and dropped it back down to where it was. I am not sure if its gonna help devert the water off the roof though. I have no idea why its doing whats its doing ! I did have one small leak in the front corner drivers side that I have tried to fix every summer. Finding where water is ACTUALLY coming in and traveling across ceiling braces can be frustrating. BUT this...this is catastrophic to say the least :cry: !

I am heartbroken right now :(

    Oh no! :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

hang in there. With Unitrack, at least it will not be ruined, but make sure those Kato switches get dried out. Rolling stock, buildings, etc., will all be fine. Even your new lights.
