Get better soon my friend! Run those trains and relax and let yourself enjoy! Take the Trainmaster out for a run with as many cars as it will pull!

    Getting old sucks !

WE heal slower...we recover slower...but the clock keeps ticking. Three weeks and I am just now feeling a little better. Tomorrow the house hunting starts anew. Living in a smaller town means the pool of available houses is smaller. The restrictions of what we need/want puts that pool even smaller. We have pets...finding a rental that accepts pets narrows that list. A place to park a 29 foot RV narrows it more.

The snowbirds moving back to warmer climates expands the field...ever so slightly. We had a promising house...just before I got sick. That house rented within a week of being listed...while I was in the hospital. Life goes on. We wll find something soon...I am confident of that. Living in sleepingbags in the aisle of THE RV...with 2 dogs...is not an option...lol.

Time to go out and run some trains....its therapeutic !! (y):)

A few guys further up this thread encouraged me to submit THERR for an article. Pamela at N Scale Magazine was gracious enough to want to print it. To say my wife and I are ecstatic is an understatement !!!!

Way to go George! Would love to hear all about the process. You do the write up yourself? Did anyone come out to see it of take pics for the magazine?

    Thanks Glennac...

This all started back at post #847...by Ken ! Its all his fault LOL.

I contacted Walt Huston at N Scale Magazine last April (thank you Jim Reising for that tip). Walt was great at explaining what needed to be done. We have never submitted an article about anything anywhere before so his guidance was priceless. MY wife Jean and I did the write up ourselves. No one came out...we sent in about a dozen HQ pics for them to choose from.

The article was accepted a long time ago. The waiting in line for an opening to get it published was the hardest part...lol. Getting that email from Pamela recently that it was going to be in the next issue was another moment. It was like...you're afraid to open that letter from the college you applied to because you are afraid you may not have gotten in. Their Graphic Artist sent us a 'proof' copy pdf...so that we could check that everything looked ok to us. I open that PDF everyday and stare at it on and off all day long...and smile !!

Would I do it all over again? Absolutely !!!

So, now that you have this big accomplishment under your belt, what is the status on your relocation?

    Rick...

The latest news we received is that someone wants to buy this house and the one right around the corner. They want to move into the other house and continue renting us this one ! Being an excellent renter pays off in the end...I hope. (y)

If you can keep the location and what you see a secret, maybe I can make some room for you at the ranch.....
