Hmmmm. Rearrange the black and orange a little, delete the yellow stripe, add "Milwaukee Road" and that would be a nice paint scheme! Boxcab E50
No respect! I can't speak for 6839, but I can imagine that it is well-worn. It is a veteran of the fleet, (1973 built) pushing over 30 years of sevice!
Good to see they are still painting the older units, although I don't much care for the paint scheme!
Great catch Hemi. I wonder if all units will be painted in the new scheme on an aggressive schedule? I have a feeling that the CEO really wants to eliminate the BN and the SF from BNSF. It may be only months until Warbonnets and Green and Cream are gone from the roster. I see a lot of Warbonnets in bad need of a paint job. And BNSF is still rather picky (I think) about it's image.
