Ok my next question. I don't know if this belongs here or the electronics section. For this yard I'm building, I want to use a diode matrix for control of the turnouts. My question is. Are solenoid switch machine too hard on the points of the turnouts or are they ok to use.
I have used solenoid type machines for ten years and have not had a problem, just remember you need a capacitor discharge unit to operate them.
