Black Eagle, MT, just a mile or 2 north of Great Falls. Just shot these earlier this month. OK, just what does 'Havelock' 40-foot mean?
Havelock was the Burlington facility that built and rebuilt many of the cars the Q used, the 40 foot rebuilts lasted well into the BN era complete with Cascade green paint. They also built gondolas both open and covered.
Just one of many fine facilities, which have been flushed down the drain of history. Boxcab E50
The beautiful Sheridan, WY depot still stands: And stuffed & mounted next to it is a lovely 4-8-4 steamer:
Some of the early sots on this forum came up as a red x <pouts> But I did see the last couple of pics and thanks for sharing! Also Golden Rail museum has a Coors SW,One that was banged up in a wreck in the yard and for a quarter it will make noise for you lol. I thought that was pretty cool, just like the old horse ride in front of the grocery store! Just this is a bigger horse.
