Wonderful! It is all too infrequent to read such good news. Another community just might save itself from the regrets of others, as they let theirs go too easily.
From my September trip, here are some recent photos of the Washington Central depot at Coulee City and the Northern Pacific depot at Cheney. Can't say if the local group has made much progress with the latter, but it's still standing, so that's a start.
Coulee City has been remodeled so much it is hard to tell it was once a depot. Wish it was still two stories...
I couldn't agree more. At least it has retained the braces under the eaves, the operator's bay is there, but hard to capture in a photo and the far, original single-story end still bears its distinctive Washington Central depot roofline.
