Oh.. Perhaps just a little bit of interest.... :D

Those are the same predecessors we get to see up here. Except your NP car looks a little better than some of the rusty examples that have passed through. Sure wish it was 1967 again!

That is a bit of a surprise. I had no idea there were still any pre BN cars still in service, much less wearing 30 year old paint. Thanks for sharing! :D

I've seen the occasional boxcar and Flatcar as well.

    Hi all,
These cars are not as uncommon as you may think. On the BNSF out side of Wenatchee, there is a large lumber mill. This mill is always full of chip cars of the roads in the pictures along with BN cars.

The BNSF handles these cars on two specfic trains, the 601 and the 600. The 601 hauls the loads and the 600 hauls the empties. I am not sure how many days a week these two trains run, but I do see them pass thru Tacoma, WA every Friday.

I am also not sure where these two trains start but I do know they pick up in Wenatchee. [IMG]

great pictures. Like an extinct animal, I'm curious when the last SP&S car was captured on film?
