I didn't see any SRC photo thread so I though I would make one. Here's just a few from when I was up there this past year
Five. They have; 2-10-0 #90, 4-8-0 #475, 2-6-0 #89, a 0-6-0 just renumbered from #31 to #7312, and a live steam 4-4-0 #3 witch they use everyday. They have two others, #4 a 0-4-0 camelback and #972 a 4-6-0, both need desprate restoration. They also have two Plymouths, #1 and #2, one 44 Tonner #9331, and a Snowplow #66.
It just hit me: nothing with a trailing truck. I thought they were working on restoring the 0-4-0 to make it the only operating Camelback?
They were going to. But they got to many request from other Railroads and Railroad Museums to restore their projects. Right now they are working on #20. A Narrow Gauge 4-6-0 Rio Grande & Southern that'll take at least two years. Then they repaint one of their passenger cars once a month. And they just finished restoring their snowplow. They are a real busy Railroad. But I think they should restore #972 first because half of her firebox has literily rusted away.
Here's a link for more infomation on #4 and 972. You'll have to look around a little, the topics are called, "Should They Restore #972" and "Return of The Camelback". http://forums.railfan.net:forums.cgi%3Fboard=Strasburg
Well it won't come up. Just go to "forums.railfan.net" and surch around. Go to "Tourist Railroads and Museums" then click on the "Strasburg Railroad" board and look for the topics, "Should they restore #972" and "Return of The CamelBack".
