BO Steam lettering colors

    The Allegheny at the B&O museum looks like the lettering is in white. Was there ever an Allegheny with white lettering or for that matter any other C&O steam?

    As far as I know there wasn't - but there sure were a lot of steam engines in HO during the late 1960's and 1970's that printed Chesapeake & Ohio on in white, such as the Rivarossi engines sold by AHM. I think the lettering should be "Dulux Gold".

    Tim is correct! B&W photos often made them look white so I am told. Also, upon weathering the gold began to turn a pale white color, again so I have been told.
