SOU's famed 4501 at Knoxville, TN in the fall of 1977. I hadn't yet stepped up to Kodachrome and am happy to have caught this on good ol' Kodak Plus-X, processed in a basement darkroom. Good times.
Good times and great photo! With the B&W film, it looks like it could be 1977 or 1947. You really nailed it.

May 2016 at the South Carolina Railroad Museum in Rockton, 0-6-0T 126. She's the real deal, built by the Vulcan Iron Works in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1931 and completely rebuilt a few years prior to this photo. At the time, she was being trucked around the eastern U.S. to appear at various venues. I'm not sure of her status today.
I believe it made it all the way to Oklahoma Railway Museum in Oklahoma City where it operated for a time.
In Reykjavik, Iceland. Two of these little tea pots were used when the port was built. After the construction was finished, live rail never returned to the island.
