Ok. And which motor do u use? Servo, Solenoids?
Route activation require automatic operations of all turnouts and signals.

Usually, railroad operates in terms of routes.
If you models work of assistant station-master, when You must choose enter and end block section places (usually, this is buttons). Then, if route do not occupied and havent any intersections with active routes, this route activates, turnouts and signals switched into appropriate state, and, then, all turnouts becomes locked untill route will be ended! Locos will follow signals of this routes automatically. (modelling of automatic train drivers)

From another hand, If You modell train driver work, You must see signal lights from the point of cabin of model (it require installation of technical vision system in model), and follow this directions. At the same time, work of assistant station-master can be modellerd by computer.

Modelling of work of assistand station master and train drivers can be fullfiled simultaneously, by more than 1 people.

No motors, no servos. All manual switches. The switch mechanism does have room for a small toggle switch when I choose to add them for signals . For my station I am planning a simple manual interlocking but otherwise with DCC I can have all sorts of collisions which adds to the fun.
