In most of the boards that I browse, I never see many shots of stations or ticket office interiors. They are few and far between.
Just a forgotten item or never that much interest?

A facet of railroading which is grossly overlooked. Interesting to me, almost any place and railroad. Part of reason I collect train orders. Take a look at the "TOUR" section of my web site- Link in my signature.

Thanks NY. If I am not mistaken, the photo is of Southampton Ticket office. I actually worked there a few times. I always remembered the telegraph key.
In some stations, the old block phones were still in use up to around 2000. I can remember trying to explain to a new kid how to use it. You crank this, step on the foot pedal to talk..... The kid looked at me like I was crazy.
