    Hi all,

I'm getting back into the hobby after a very long absense. My experience has been in HO but, now I'm doing a set up for n gauge for myself and hoping to jump into DCC. I'm also doing a set up for my other half which will be in 0 gauge. I've got the 0 gauge table build, basically 2 4x8 sheets with a small triangle piece in the middle to have them meet up. It's a strange layout but, works for our room. On the others side is my layout which is only 3' by about 8' and only 29" off the floor so it sits just about level behind our couch. The 0 scale is about 38" high so you can stand and run it.
I bought some n gauge loco's and cars about 5 years ago but, then things went south and I had to put things on hold again. About three years ago I bought a bunch of original 0 gauge cars/accessories for my other half who mentioned that they wanted their train set from when they were little but the other brother got it. So I tried to buy everything that was in the original collection. Now we are slowly getting things set to put it up. Right now both layouts are empty flat boards just waiting for our imaginations to take hold. My other half is more into buttes (from Arizona) and I'm torn from growing up in Duluth, MN who really loved the DM&IR yellowstones/ore docks but, really love the looks of big boys, cab forwards and duplexs. If it's big and unusual I prob. will fall in love with it.
Just wanted to say hi before I start to irritate everyone with my endless questions.

I'm really glad because, I'm sure I will have a bunch once I figure out what I'm doing. lol I'm pulling out my cars and track I bought to see what I even have. I've also been trying to read up on DCC inf. and have already hit that forum on here to pick minds. Now I really need to figure out where I can find an old rail logo for my avatar. I see a young lady already has the DM&IR so need to find one that is previous to that. lol

Welcome aboard! Glad to see another N scale / O scale fan. I model mainly in N but have a good size collection of mainly MTH O. Just picked up a Railking SW9 in B&M yesterday. Ask away, we all love to help!

Thanks guys. It's nice to see another friendly forum. I also belong to the Halloween Forum and am a big Halloween Haunter. I've spent hours going through some of these discussions on this site and they are extremely informative. Wish I would have found this place years ago. I think I finally got my DCC narrowed down in what I want to buy next month.
