Starting a blog and other issues

I cant figure out how to start a blog and how to take my photos from my
album to a thread or blog. How do you get the links to those on threads as
well?

As far as posting photos, let me suggest you upload some photos to our own Railimages. As a Trainboard member you are entitled to free space in Railimages. The upload process is explained in Railimages tutorial and it's easy.

On the other hand, if you have some photos resident on your own website or some other photo depository on the web, accessible on the web, you can post those photos in your blog or in your messages, both using the same steps.

When you create a message, or a blog, there are a number of icons that show up across the top, one of which is yellow, depicting mountains, and a stamp, resembling a postcard. Click on it, and it comes up with a box for the purpose of inserting an image (photo). You can type in the location of your photo, the address on the net where it resides, or if you have copied it's location address, just type CNTRL V and it will show up.

I hope this is enough info to get you started, and welcome aboard! If you have more questions, feel free to ask. No one will ridicule you here. We all had to learn too.

Thanks for the info. I had gone over that site earlier and the options box gives "Your blog" and "Post to your blog". I have not seen start a blog. Does "Post to your blog" get things started? When I click "Your blog" it states no blogs for me.

Thanks for the info. I looked at that site and nothing about "Start your blog". There is "Post to your blog" and "Your blog". But that one just shows I have none listed. Does "Post to your blog" get it going?
