What's going on with the StL&H? I saw a note on the Railpace magazine news column that it has been folded back into CP. Any details?
The STL&H has always been part of the Canadian Pacific Railway, just like the E&NR. Dane N. ------------------ TAMR2860-AKA BC Rail King TAMR2860@hotmail.com
STL&H is merely a paper road, offices are still in Montreal. Some of the MOW vehicles in this area sport the current beaver logo, with St. Lawrence and Hudson Railway under the beaver. ------------------ J.E. Pindar Webmaster-Canadian Pacific Railway Resources http://cpr.railfan.net
I just heard it too, it will now be under the CP Flag, on paper too. Happy Railroading! Dane N. ------------------ TAMR2860-AKA BC Rail King TAMR2860@hotmail.com
I like to know when, exactly, did this occur. I actually liked those new SL&H engines, just never saw one pass me by here in Eastern Ontario. I'm a stickler for exact detail to maintain my records on such events too.
Let me know if you want a location posting of STLH units Will do it, if ya really want details ------------------ J.E. Pindar Webmaster-Canadian Pacific Railway Resources http://cpr.railfan.net
Thanks for the info. I guess its just another corporate paper shuffle that really makes no difference out in the real world. Listing of units not necessary as I see them in the course of my employment. (D&H Engineer). Interest in the topic just in case things might be changing in the workplace but doesn't appear I need to worry. (at least not anymore than normal)
Well I would say, it would mean a bit more stability. STLH was possibly to be spun off to a buyer if the eastern division (which STLH was) did not turn substancial figures over. All you are looking forward to, is, just seeing the STLH engines painted over, but, just got word, that D&H engine 7312 which was sent to Calgary, may return in the D&H paint, but not so lucky will be the 3 remaining D&H painted engines. ------------------ J.E.
