SP&S heritage caboose coming soon!

    I just heard on another forum that BNSF is seeking the proper "RED" color for a SP&S caboose. Sounds to me like they are going to be doing a bunch of these after all. YAY!!!!!!!!

    Get your cameras locked and loaded you foamers!

    Any hints as to where the work is being done? If such an item would be most often assigned within it's past namesake territory?

    Ken-

    From what I have heard there are 5 scheduled and planned to be in the greater Seattle area. I would think that would be a shoe in for a SP&S.

    It sure would be nice if they would put one on the end of the Renton Rocket. I could watch it go by everyday!

    Too bad the Renton Rocket is not a local that requires a caboose.

    Does anybody know if BNSF ever painted anymore cabooses in "Heritage colors"?

    I have not heard. I have a friend that works for BNSF and so far I have only been able to confirm they painted the first heritage caboose in GN.
