Drove by CEECO today to check on the Milw E9. 3 in a row were SP MW326, MW320, and, MW331. All flangers that looked like they were built from old cabooses and had built dates of 04/30 on them! Also, was SP "speed lettering" #4850 and I swear it had brand new paint, no patches, no sign of the borg anywhere on her!! Nice eh? Anyone know about this? What type loco is it? Oh, and on top of all this, that F-unit in "Black Widow" paint is still there. Get's interesting more and more every time I go by there!!
They may look like rebuilt cabooses, but they are not...have always been flangers. If I am not totally off on this they originally had much smaller "doghouses" to protect the operators, with the current superstructures added on many years later. Next time you go check the trucks; you will see that the flangers have wooden blocks in the trucks where the springs should be. Jeff Moore Elko, NV
I saw one of the flangers out of the paint shop painted UP "yellow" of corse but I think their lettered SPMW and have the UP shield also the Milwaukee road 36a looks to be fininshed number boards are in and a Nathan airchime a P3 I think has been put on
Why PM an individual when you can show real stupidity to the whole group of my "peers"... So what's CEEC0
Well thanks! I got that they are in the state of Washington anyway. Didn't see an address or town anywhere?
