Just found these from a collector. Bought 10 of these for Willamette Regional Railway. Hoping to get more of them.:uhoh: Jerry Kramer
Sometimes it pays to have someone who has been in the hobby awhile, look at your purchase before you make it. You do know that is a hopper car and not a box car? The car is fictional, as in no prototype ever existed. Look at the lettering it looks like an attempt at a custom job and the lettering is poorly applied. The initials should of read SPSF not SF. Guessing, it is a Bachmann based on the trucks and wheel sets. If that is the jewel box it came in... the label clearly indicates ConCor but I wouldn't bet on it. I have jewel boxes in my collection that have a train car, that fits in it but is far from being the original car. If you get my drift. Sorry, but unless you plan on stripping the paint off...well...someone did an excellent sales job.hboy: I know, nothing like being the one to throw a wet blanket on the whole thing. Still if you didn't pay to much for them you can always re-letter them for your Willamette Regional Railway.
Looks like a poor excuse to have a VERY fictional version of a Shouldn't Paint So Fast hopper by a Santa Fe fan (no SP in front of SF in the reporting marks). LOL
