would appreicate any info on what would be the best sound and motor decoder for use in a Life-like E7 in HOscale
I haven't seen the insides of an HO model in many years, so I can't comment on how to decoder.... Harold
Bnsf9994: Welcome to Trainboard. Soundtraxx is coming out with great diesel and steam sounds in the Tsunami decoder. I would wait for one of these for your LL E7 . Stay cool and run steam.....
Just finished installing the Soundtraxx Tsunami in a Proto 0-8-0. Job went very easy, even for a guy over 60. Used an oval speaker in the tender (right under the coal load)but had to create a styrene bed for connection and fit. Also needed to drill about 30 mini holes in the load for the sound. The result is just great – steam chuffy on startup and as acceleration continues – squealing brakes on slow down – plus horn and whistle on starting and stopping – all automatically – couple clank – water stop – injectors – dynamo for lights. Finally a sound that is real and adds to the scene
