Southern 630 will be running from Grand Jct in Chattanooga to Knoxville on NS with an excursion train. Departure is planned for around 1200 tomorrow. 40 mph running will be quite a show!
Not yet. But I will be in one of the chase cars. LOL 630 will be in Knoxville all week, and then a public excursion next week.
630 did an excellent job on the excursion today.......paced her at 40-50 mph several times. Diesels cant hold a stick to steam......PERIOD!!!!
Just before she left Chattanooga I did. Out on the road the group I was with got several videos and photos. I opted to watch with my Grandson, and I was really glad I did. What a beautifully sight she was! The look of amazement on my 2 yr old Grandsons face while we paced her was priceless and that alone was worth the trip!

It would be cool to see her lead a coal train from Kentucky to Knoxville. I whish I could have saw 630 run today though.
