Fitz, check the link to the NEB&W's website in my signature - that's the name for the model RR here at RPI. I am President of the club, by the way. A little info on those shots. 1) CSX AC60CW #618 and an HLGX unit (I think C30-7 IIRC) lead a loaded autorack train eastbound into Selkirk (this location is about ten minutes down the line from Selkirk Yard). This train then continued east towards Boston. I saw the same units coming into Selkirk from the east the next day. 2) CSX C44-9W #9024 and AC60CW #610 run light into Selkirk for servicing. This was the power off of Q236. 3) CSX C40-8 #7604, C40-8W #7663, and FURX SD40-2s #3045 and #3047 lead a loaded autorack train west from Selkirk. The leasers were still clean, so must've been recently delivered. As for FURX units, saw three that day, the other heading into Selkirk. In total I saw 10 trains in 3 hrs, I'll put more shots up as I get them scanned. ------------------ Corey Lynch Pres - Rensselaer Model RR Society NEB&W RR http://www.rpi.edu/~lynchc/Railfanning/railfanning.htm - My Site http://www.union.rpi.edu/railroad/ - NEB&W [This message has been edited by Harron (edited 06 September 2000).]
Wow, resurrect an old thread Dave! Anyway, it was (and still is) an excellent location, however, the diamonds have been removed, so it lost some of its flare. I've found a couple of other locations along the same line that are pretty good. You can see those shots when I get them back (shortly).
