Any idea what the blue placard on that hopper says?
It's something about Plate C and Plate F restrictions.
Here is one of BNSF's brand new Isolated cabed SD70ACe's rolling through Oreapolis last Sat.
BNSF 9133 west.
KCS 4695,KCS 4685 in the new Taco Belle scheme.
And Job 412 heading back to Gibson yard with 66 cars in tow.
BNSF 2164,BNSF 2795,BNSF 2808.
I always get a good chuckle from the creativeness of railroaders and fans. These nicknames can get quite interesting.
Now this is the ONLY paint scheme that should have the letters, (SF) on it. all the others are butt ugly.
I've also heard others call the older ones, "chilli-macs" for the ones that were built in Mexico a few years back!
See. Now you did it. Now I am gonna start calling them that.
And if they have mechanical troubles, we'll need a nickname that references indigestion of that style food.... :tb-tongue:

Sure looks like this paint is in good condition. Recent wash rack? Or?

My son and I chased a BNSF train this last weekend. Would you mind if I share some of those pictures here on your thread after I get them uploaded?
Nice pictures Richard, next time your in Champaign IL, give me a yell.
Please feel free to add them. Will be great to see.
It all started when we saw an east bound BNSF mixed freight passing through Palisade, CO and we decided to follow it up the canyon a ways.
The first catch in Palisade, CO trying to shoot through the windshield:
We barely made it in time to catch the train emerging from Beavertail Tunnel:
