Ride height is not a concern of mine. But really gets me is the scale ten feet coupling distance between diesel units and passenger cars. That is why I avoid body mounted couplers. Also, it seems to me that everyone wants body mounted couplers to run on their 9 3/4-inch radius curves. To me any curve less than 24" radius is too sharp.
I'm glad that someone raised the issue of this site's default font size. On my laptop, it's a strain to read. It discourages reading too many posts because it usually leads to a headache. Yes, it's easy to enlarge on the Brave browser, but that enlarges everything. Being a newcomer here, I didn't want to come off harshly. Overall, this is a great web site.
You can click on the sliding portion of the scroll bar and (while holding the left button down) slide a finger up or down the touchpad. But I prefer to avoid using the touchpad as much as possible. I use the up/down arrow key or the page up/down key to scroll.
The fact that when I present them, the DCC decoder manufacturers with factual test information about failed decoders, they all say, oh well and end the discussion.
It's mostly N Scalers. They think they own the place. Now there's one smaller than Z. What can you do?
Knowing that My Late Parents assisting with the Project on SAVED ARTICLES between 1970? -1980 ? And My Late Mother I built My Last N-SCALER Model Railway between 1987 to her passing away in 2000 . I think this person posting , hosting this video > Women say model trains are a red flag… - YouTube has no idea how involved a Female can be or is involved in the hobby of model railroading or being an Employee of a regional Rail Line , Short Line to a Class 1 Rail Line . Tom
If I ever have to choose between my hobby and a woman, I know what I'll be choosing. Hint - it won't be the woman. It's not about the trains, it's about being able to live and enjoy your life.
You have to be Kidding FCC ! These were attached to the beginning of this V. & O.HO Scale Athearn Bluebox Virginian & Ohio F7 build Episode 7 -YouTube I can understand the Copyright law for video, etc. However this one takes the Prize for stupidity..see photo 2 To the FCC , I like to know How is Model railroading videos have became A Viewer Discretion Hobby etc ? Tom
The guy who made the video put that on there. It's on all his videos. The guy has either a good sense of humor or he wears a tinfoil hat !!
I knew a guy whose main hobby was women. He owned a business in the medical field and made millions. When he passed on a few years ago his heirs got almost nothing. He liked trains and at one time had a layout in his basement but ended up having to sell it all to help pay his debts. It’s a sad story.
Reminds me of the old western picture, in just about every bar in the west I went to. There's a picture of an old wrinkly cowboy sitting on split rail fence, you know the kind with a cigarette that seems dangling on the very edge of his mouth. The caption reads. " I spent most of my money, on beer and women, the rest, i just wasted"
