Got the 15th anniversary Kato RDC/Unitrack set for Christmas...

Set it up..I ran several locos that have been sitting in storage for almost 20yrs +...most ran fairly well...especially many of my Minitrix..a bit noisy by todays standards but they ran never-the-less without any problems. Now to find a place to permanently have a layout running.

Got a dresser drawer handy? I saw an N setup on a Mantle over the fireplace once. He had some switches and ran it for guests, it was just the right eye level, and out of the reach of kiddies.
Another was made to roll under a bed, another was under a couch in the den.
One guy had one that hung on the back of his closet door. It had sheetmetal hooks that allowed the door to close, no buildings, but as he moved from apartment to apartment, he could just un-hang it, lay it on the floor or table, and at least run some trains in spare time. He kept his rolling stock and transformer in a suitcase. He had a sheet of plywood that covered the tracks during a move.
If you look hard enough, you can usually find a place. :D
