I have an area with double track. On the outer loop is a turnout where looking at the switch in Palmer Lake the converging side has a single target signal. From the switch side is a double target signal. About 10 inches away will be a single cross over. Looking at a couple of photos I see a 3 target signal. Do I need to place a three target signal on the switch side of each track? It looks as if in the photos two of the three lights tell the engineer that the switchs are alined for the crossover and the upper one I think is the block signal. I am using Kato switchs and also wonder if I could control both switchs using only one switch controller. Would a block signal be placed somewhere down the line, in that small of space I would think the signals would become confusing. Trains will travel both directions on the double tracks. The crossover will lead to another switch for station entrance.
