I have a switchboard that I would like to install a warning indicator light that would come on when a main line turnout is open.
Can someone inform me of a website that could give a me info on this project ?

One of our club members built some small "dwarf" signals using bi-color leds that show the turnout indication on the layout. I am sure you could do the same on a panel as well.

What type of wiring, DC or DCC, what scale, and what type of turnout? This can make a difference in the ease of accomplishing your goal.

It is very easy to do if you are using a Tortoise switch machine. You wire either a bi-color LED or two separate LEDs (reversed) in series with one of the leads to the Tortoise.
