I have a small layout that is coming along fine but I wish to add a signal to the layout. I chose one that uses a sensor detector to change the signal color. I have been having difficulty understanding the wiring of the system. The schematic that came with it seems screwy. I thought maybe the board here with all your experience could shed some insight.

The signal system is from NJ International, specifically the ES-307 Signal Relay. It's a two light system with an EDS sensor.
The Signal has 4 wires (all black) while the ES-307 Relay has 6 wires (Orange, Black, Green, Brown, White and Yellow). The sensor has two prongs.

I have not been able to get the sensor to function but have been successful in getting the signals lights to alluminate.

Have any of you had any experience with these signals and the wiring of them. Any help would be appreciated. I do not have a scanner so I cannot provide a picture of the schematic.

Hi JL .. welcome to Trainboard. We are happy you have joined us. [IMG]

I tried to find some information about the schematic for your ES-307 signal system without success.

JN International has moved to Arizona. Their new address is:

    P.O. Box 1929
    Higley, AZ 85238

    Their new phone number is:

    1-480-219-4135 (fax is the same)
    Their e-mail address is:

    orders@njinternational.com

Sorry that I can't help you any better. Maybe if you have a friend with a scanner you can post it in here through RailImages.
