Are you using Internet Explorer? There are known issues (see other posts) in Support. I believe some folks have had success by clearing history and cookies.
Yep , Edge is the new IE . I use Google Chrome and never have any problems . Just download a different browser like Firefox or Google Chrome . I very rarely use the I E Edge on my laptop .
I've just installed the latest version of Chrome, 47.0.2526.106 m (64-bit), and have no problem with TB's ID and PW. In fact, not only does Chrome remember the IDs and PWs from all of my secure sites, it also is MUCH faster than either Edge or IE-11. Google has developed a great browser. It would be wonderful if they used that brain power to develop an Operating System capable of competing head-to-head with Windows.
I have seen some statistics reporting that Chrome is now approaching 70% share of the market. That MS has fallen to under 10%, in third place behind FF. It would be nice if that could happen. It's long past time for MS to have their hold shattered.
Regardless of the brand of browser, XenForo's codewriters should recognize the foibles of each and write code that accommodates.
Unfortunately, many product developers take a parochial attitude and do not open-source their code, Microsoft being a prime example. Rather they encapsulate their products with so many restrictions, non-disclosures, and similar financial and intellectual barriers to make it nearly impossible for a third-party to develop a compatible product, even when that product is not in direct competition. Therefore, folks like XenForo must develop their products by trial-and-error until they find near success and release their product before it's 100% compatible. I believe Microsoft is beginning to meet its match with developers like Google.
Easier said than done, Microsoft has some screwy ideas on how to do things. Any web developer who experienced Microsoft Front Page can tell you how bad their ideas can be.
Interesting and thank you -- I didn't know that. Yes, I suppose the code is in a state of constant development and that they'll eventually lick the problem. Aside from IE, I think some Firefox users have been tripped up too. TrainBoard knows it's me when I visit (Hardcoaler appears in the upper right), but it requires me to sign in many times during a visit.
