Mine said in progress to destination for a week more then suddenly showed up today finally. I hope it enjoyed its visit to the 5 boroughs of New York over the last 3 weeks. But it is here and I can now get the trolley track done.

Most likely my longest ever domestic transit time was a parcel from ExactRail in Utah to northern Virginia. Parcel shipped on Dec 3 and arrived on Dec 31. That's 4 full weeks in to get here!

I hope everyone realizes that people are literally risking their lives to ship us our toys.

TigerDude. It's not like we are all uncaring people by discussing shipping delays which seems to be implied in your post.

My job requires me to be out at work among people every work day. It's clear all of will be thankful when this horrid pandemic is finally behind us.

Yea! My package finally showed up somewhere other than OK (after contacting the USPS and filing a complaint). It now in Calif and I might actually get it in the next couple of days (1 month 3 days and counting for a priority mail package).

BTW, I'm an essential employee and I'm pretty sure that I had Covid in Dec of 2019 and I survived. If you are healthy and younger than 65, it will just seem like the flu (of which 800,000 people die of EVERY year and nobody has said anything about that).

You've got me beat there. My longest transit time domestic CONUS was 28 days.

I didn't even know COVID was in the US by Dec 2019. If you got it then, you were a very early bird!

I am not sure if I am officially classified as an essential employee, but I am required to report to my office Mon-Fri every week. My job is mostly hands on. I did get to telework every other week from around mid-March to mid-Oct last year.

Supposedly the first confirmed case in the US was via the CDC- January 21, 2020.

I am an essential employee as well. Unless you don't want your family to have their necessary daily consumable goods....

    Probably because that's not correct.

    140,000 - 800,000 is hospitalizations. Deaths is 12,000 - 61,000.

I work at a hospital, and the word we are getting is that it was most likely in the States by October but had not spread enough to gather any attention. I was likely in many places around the world at that time. It was most likely just thought of as the flu and people were getting over it. It wasn't until December/January that we were seeing an unusually high number of "flu" deaths that started getting the attention of the WHO, CDC and other similar organizations around the world. And then all crud happened. I caught it in early March before our state (WA) had locked down, and we were the first to do so. I can honestly say I have never been so sick in my life. I have had bronchitis and pneumonia in the past and those were a walk in the park compared to C-19. It took almost 6 months before I felt normal again.

Well I have experienced problems with all 3 of the delivery systems as well as amazon. Mail orders are up tremendously and putting a strain on all businesses. And the post office being the biggest is the most backed up, and with people being out with the vid virus, it makes it worse. It will clear up, but it will take some time. Plus when you have the usps competitors finishing their deliveries because they can’t , says a lot that they are all suffering from this.

I find it interesting to watch who adapts fastest and best (and also how). Adapt or die...

It finally arrived on Jan 9th. Of course the USPS FRAGILE sticker was ignored and the box was crushed on one side, but it was still packed well enough that only one horn was broken.

Well here is a good one............. my wife and I sent a package to a family member living in Colorado last March. That would be March 2020. Unbeknownst to us, that family member was just then moving out of Colorado.

Today, January 11, 2021, that package was returned to us by the USPS as undeliverable. It took just shy of TEN MONTHS TO THE DAY for this to happen.

And here all along we just assumed the package had been delivered!
