setting up powerpack

    My children just got a railpower 1300 for there new train model and it was 20 years ago my father had one so not sure how to connect it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    on the powerpack there should be an indication of which terminals (screws) are for powering the track for the train. one wire from each of the two terminals to each rail.
    there are "terminal track sections" manufactured by many of the track makers which also have two screws. but there are also connection wires that are soldered or otherwise connected to the railjoiners. the railjoiners are the pieces that connect the rails to each other. it does not matter in DC current which wire goes to which track unless wish to control the direction the train runs. if it is running in the opposite direction than you prefer for the settings on the power pack, just reverse which wire is connected to which rail. it is as easy as that. best wishes.
