    Hi,

I got two if these Rivarossi (also sold by Atlas and ConCor(?)) 0-4-0 loks. One is my most reliable runner (in terms of really small critters on right radius curves), the other jumps the trail any chance it gets.
Turns out the first wheelpair is nearly 1mm out of gauge.
Any advice how best to fix this?

    Thanks

    Even

I am not familiar with the construction of this engine, but you'll need to remove the wheelset, hold it vertically and gently tap it on a tabletop to reduce the gauge. Try your best to keep the wheels parallel with each other as you work. I'd use an NMRA standards gaging tool to test as you go.

If there's a drive rod attached to the wheel, the disassembly and reassembly will be a bit more difficult.
