I need to clarify. What I mean is a HOUSE. Not a tool shed, not a speeder shack, etc. A section workers/section foremans home. Too many people confuse these structures. Boxcab E50
Look in the big GN book by Wood. They'res a pic of the Scenic depot with houses in the background with lawns and all. That help?
Kurt- Do you have a page handy? I tried all those listed in the index for Scenic. Don't see one as described. Or did I miss it somehow? Boxcab E50
I sold the book, but I remember it being in color, and looks like it was taken from the US 2 bridge looking west.....I think. Crap, maybe it was in one of the color pictorials? Sorry Boxcab. I remember it so vividly cause I thought it was ironic here's these nice homes with lawns and all, just west of the Scenic station, and now you wouldn't know it standing there.
Leachmann's Northwest Passage might have something... I haven't looked lately, though. What about the Great Northern Vol 1 and 2 black/white books?
Unfortunately, I do not have that book. Am doing research. Asking, asking. Believe I have it spotted. Take a photo and then send it to a retired area GN man. We shall see. He knew the house. So.... Boxcab E50
Ken, I cannot find anything either. I remember Tom Garrett of Spokane having photos up somewhere of the days when he was a kid up at Scenic. Are you on the GNGoat list at Yahoogroups?
Dan- No. I'm not on that Group. I have those pretty much pared down to just a very few these days. I may have it located! Boxcab E50
Yes. Found it last week. Much remodeled, so very hard to spot or recognize. Could not be used as an example for spotting others from that company. Confirmed it with someone who knew the GN man who bought and moved it. Photo is difficult with trees, vehicles, etc. Boxcab E50
