Zscaleplanet - Lance, thanks for this feedback. Upon inspection you’re spot on. I realized I had primed the window assemblies and hand painted with acrylics.

I am going to rebuild the walls of this little farmhouse. I got 2 more sets for exactly this, try-and-retry. I will post pictures once recreated the weathered walls. Thanks for your thoughts around the roof.

Have a great Sunday!

Tiest,
Between you and I, I would simply press on with this building as it is. I think it looks fantastic in its current form. Remember when I pointed out that we are using high end cameras to capture the minute detail of our work. We’ll, to the naked eye, nobody will be able to tell the difference except those very observant individuals. So the average Joe schmo won’t know the difference.

Funny but if you recall the sawtooth warehouse build, one of the gooseneck lights over the door of the warehouse is twisted at about a 45° angle. It’s settled in that angle after everything was done. I couldn’t reach back up into the warehouse to twist it back so I’ll live with it and call it good.

Perfection is definitely a burden we
Z-scalers have to deal with. And sometimes you just gotta walk away and call it good. I think the building you have done looks fantastic, so proceed forward my friend.

And see if you can manage to keep the cat away from this one.:LOL::LOL:

Good call Lance!!
Agree completely with the perfectionism bug we likely all share here :)

On a curious note. The windows from the Basher’s kit are yellow-brownish; you kept these as is to keep its sharp edges?

Tiest,
Correct. I do not paint Basher’s window trim on my builds. They do have a yellowish-brownish color, and that is primarily from laser burn during production. Granted they may not look aesthetically correct if you have white trim everywhere, but I love the look of a finally detailed Z-scale window.

I think one viable option would be to airbrush them very lightly, and with an enamel based paint that’s thinned out just a bit.
