Fantastic Gerd can not wait to run it.
Joe, you are one lucky dog.
Gerd, by looking at your SD70, I found a way to improve the appearance of mine. Also, I am glad you used standard super detailing, because I dont think the word is ready for super super detailing.
Oh my God!!!
Gerd, what a Beauty, absolutely wonderful.
O.K., forget to mention I have added a door handle at the front door....
Wow Gerd that is one fine lookin' Ace
Tim, you did well on the casting. Gerd, nice detail work.
Leave the key under the mat?
Does that front door include a working lock with a key? ;-)
(Now *that* would be "super super detailing"!)
Gerd, it is a beauty! I'll guess it is the best copy of David's scratchbuild master so far!
BLMA (leftovers, get replaced by my own design gradualy: Windscreen wipers, liftrings, MU-Hoses, sun shades
My design: fan plates, fan blades, grab irons, ditch light front
other: lower louvers at rear end, some brass mesh
All my fans are now non-BLMA, more prototypical, correct size, correct number of wires, fan blades, types. Most of the railings (not in this case of course) too. And lots of other parts like complete sides for e.g. GP15-1 or SD40T-2
Got the BNSF swoosh decal set today. Actually two in case I blow it. Now to get that engine painted.
Any of these get Yellow paint??? If not anybody have a extra they want to sell???
pm me

hobo tim. i have been following this thread for a while and i must say thats some excellent work going on there, I too am into scratch building and looking for a good source to order custom detail brass etch parts, you mention here that you made those hand rail and doors from a professional etcher, can you please supply some more details and contact info of the etcher, appox costing will also be great!
It went from Canada (built in London, Ontario), to Saudi Arabia.
Very nice work on the kits, to everyone that had a hand in creating them.
Looks like an SD70ACe shell is up for grabs on ebay. All parts are there according to the listing.
