I cant remember off the top of my head your LHS shoud have packages so you can test. But if I remember right it should be printed on the sunrise package also
Tonight finished installing the wipers, sunshades, and lift rings. Also painted the railings white, and the rear number boards and fuel caps red.
Got more detailing applied and painted. Filled and painted the front number boards, and then discovered I am out of SP numbers! Oh well, there is still more to do for now!
Still have some decals to apply, builders plate and scanner board. Then I'll start weathering her up.
Looks Sweet! No antenna's, but next time you need a roof shot: http://www.trainweb.org/zeniphotos/roofer/roofermadness.html
Last for tonight is adding some BLMA grabs at the top at each end. I'll paint these tomorrow after they set.
I also tried something I read some time ago. I used a regular pencil and brushed it over the class lights. Looks really good and has a shine like a glass lense cover.
Is that a bell for sure? I thought it was a part of the steam generator water tank, like a vent or something. Do other Espee units have a bell there without the steam generator exhaust stack? I see the old style SD9 pilots; they were good ones.
Yeah, it's a vent.... but I believe the type of vent cover is referred to as a bell housing because of its bell shape. Russ
Yea, Russ is right. If you walked into the nose of these units you could screw the vent up or down. Really made little difference in a hot nose in the summer!
Today I added the MU hoses, and I like the way the grabs looked on the top of the hood so I did the same to the SD9 I did some time ago.
You can see what a difference some weathering makes in that photo! Looking forward to doing the same to the SD7!
