Now THAT...would be something! LOL! Please....never ask to see a T scale layout....in T scale on a T scale layout....cause you wont...you cant....tooo tiny! Haaa! Lain
What printer are you using for the shells? They look really nice; I'm surprised at the resolution of the details. Will you be selling these or are they for a personal project?
I am running the Anycubic Photons for now. The resolution took a bit of tinkering and modifying the printers that I use. Out of the box they do good but need a little help. My CAD drawings are the key in how I draw them as to how they will print. I wont give all my dirty secrets out as we really have a goal in mind to make these available for sale one day. I have always had a love for trains as they have been in the family for all my life. A lot of railroad workers in my family. The T scale recently caught my attention and I could not (still cant) get over just how small and WORKING these little trains are. I want to make these reasonable affordable..So I am doing everything I can in my bag o tricks to keep the cost down and still produce a good solid running engine and cars. This SD40 I guess you could say is like a flagship...If we can make these last, run smooth, run slow prototypical, and have as best of detail as possible out of the printers and possible brass details, then I think we just may have a neccessary winner in the T scale arena. I am using my background in engineering and manufacturing of over 30 yrs to get there. I dont want this for just me..I want to see people take hold of this scale and make it a player too along with the other bigger brothers. Only way in my mind to do that....just start....start somewhere and just keep going. T scale needs it. Lorraine on Tgauge.com's website is doing a good job promoting this scale. We need more of that. Not to mention this scale now just facinates me! LOL ...sorry for the wordy reply..lol Lain
