Is anyone making their own rerailers?

The club I run at periodically has a nice staging area throughout which they have installed styrene/nylon strips between the rails. Makes it real easy to quickly assemble consists. Simply place the loco or car down and slide left or right and "plunk", it drops right onto the rails. No feelie feelie with trucks, wheels, or rails.

I use strips of basswood at my crossings which also act as rerailers. The basswod can be easily 'formed' and scribed and stained to simulate wooden plank crossing. It can be painted a grey/black for asphalt or just grey for concrete. It can also be painted a dull silver to simulate steel. I can get a whole lotta 'rerailers' out of one cheap 24" stick of basswood. I use 1/32 thick basswood. It fits perfectly between the 'spikes' It works great with C80 track.
