Lately I've been building a new layout that has cost me barely anything so far. All my benchwork is made from wood found in alleys. Now I am at the track laying stage and I am also starting to think of a station building for my layout. As I go around I am keeping my eyes open for materials. I also need a big truss bridge. I'm thinking a 32" set of spans. So I am looking for stuff for that as well. So here is my challenge. What if you try to build a model from things you find or repurpose. Sort of a recycled model contest. What could you build with what you have on hand or find free? Anyone up for this? My free benchwork. I measured and my mainline run will be 41 feet around. Should allow for some decent trains.
