Trying to remember where I found the information, but I believe that some of the ex-MILW U30C units went into the "Super 7" program?

So many great catches in this thread! I worked at MK when the 3000 Super 7 was rebuilt with the other "C" and both the "B's" for the prototypes. Lots of GE guys around to be sure it went well.

Back a couple of pages, high nose GE's and 4501 and 611, followed by a mystery steam loco!!! Great stuff!!

Right out of the Navy, went to work for MK in Boise for a few years. Was involved in wiring up BN GP39-2's, NJT, MARC, MDOT, CSX and other lines units. Including the MK leasors. Oh, and installing Q-Tronics wheelslip control systems in initial testing.

Agree! They have her Baldwin engine running again, but I don't know if she's ready for service.

Great catch! The D&RGW 3130 (and 3129) was one of the latest GP40-2s built (1983), as it was a wreck trade-in credit from a 7 Aug 1982 Byer's Canyon wreck of 3025, 3058. These two units are notable in their unusual angular dynamic brake blower bulge, and fan and exhaust silencers, federally-mandated at that time. https://utahrails.net/drgw/rg-diesels-2.php

The wife found a file on her computer of train pictures from when I was experimenting with a different scanner 10+ years ago. I'd forgotten about doing this. They still aren't great but I'll start sharing some of them here.

I'll start with some BNSF from the late 90's/early 2000's and go from there.
