    Do any of you guys know of a manufacturer who sells scale chain? I am looking to detail some N scale locomotive trucks with it and figured you HO guys would have the best answer, if any. Thanks!

    The smallest chain I know of is Buliders in Scale #250 40 links per real life inch. I'm not sure what it scales out to exactly but it looks right on HO brake detail. I would think it would look oversize in N.

    OK - I'm gonna try... That would be 40 links per 87 scale inches (7.25 feet). So thats 5.5 links per scale foot. Seems kinda big even for HO [IMG]

    Mr. Martyn;
    I found some great chain and it looks like good HO or even large N scale. I use it on my tenders to keep the trucks from rotating on a derailment.

    I bought it from 'Trackside Specialties' division of Greenway products, 139 Ramsey Raod, Ligonier, PA 15658. It was mfg by Overland Models Inc part #9710 "tiedown chains".

    I've given you their snail mail address because I don't think they have a web site. :rolleyes:
