Does anyone have a picture of a 10 pack fuel foiler??? The decal sheet is a little vauge on the details. Any info would help out too! I just want to get the placement of the yellow 10pack decals right. Thanks!
I have some info on that, I've just done one myself. I don't have any photo's myself that I could put online, but i'll try & describe them as best I can this evening (i'm at work at the moment) From what I recall you couldn't guess the location of the yellow logo's, they are all over the place and there are far more on one side than the other! What's yours based on? Mine used the Athearn impack car (in HO)
Thats what had me confused........seemed like there are alot more on one side, and just a couple on the other. Just didn't seem to be right, but I guess it is!
Here's a link to purchase a copy of the MR article on the fuel foilers. http://shop.store.yahoo.com/kalmbachcatalog/mrr820901.html Still trying to find pix.
Okay, imagine this is looking down on the car from above, the logo positions would be as follows: Non Hand Brake end (A) (a) .....Logo - No Logo (j) .....Logo - No Logo (brake cylinder) (i) .....Logo - Logo (h) .....Logo - No Logo (brake cylinder) (g) .....Logo - Logo (f) .....Logo - No Logo (e) .....Logo - No Logo (brake cylinder) (d) No Logo - No Logo (c) No Logo - No Logo (brake cylinder) (b) No Logo - No Logo Hand Brake End (B) Sources: Decal sheet from the Microscale decals (HO) Santa Fe Heritage Vol 1 Model Railroading Dec 97 (couple of pics) The side that's light on logo's has most of the brake gear on the car mounted on this side, the non-logo'd units on the other side have the handbrake mechanism (when first built) connecting across them to link the first 4 trucks on that end of the car.
