San Luis Valley Line now home to F40PH's?

    I've been watching the webcam @ Alamosa and it sure looks to me like the new operator @ Alamosa is using F40PH's.

    Filthy, Dirty, Ugly ones, but F40's none the less.

    Since the line has not had 3-axle trucks over it in something like 45-50 years I doubt these could be any other cowl type units.

    Does anybody have better shots than those shown @ http//207.225.26.243 ?

    They are F40PHs from the Canadian-American Railroad. They were purchased for a new passenger run that runs from Alamosa to La Veta pass, maybe further. The Cumbres & Toltec Shop website has pictures of them under the second week of March.
