Well my g/f's father is a USMC Active Vet. Been through Both Iraq Conflicts + Went to train troops in Afghanistan with my cousin whose an Army Trainer. 3 Years ago We talked about purchasing the USMC Train from USA Trains for him but never did. Well today I managed to scrounge up some money for his birthday that's coming next week. He invited me to come with on the family trip to Arizona to christen his new RV. So I dug around some garage sales and hobby shops at in my neighborhood I got a great deal. 300 netted me the GP-7 USMC Locomotive, the flat cars with the truck and tank, and the extended vision caboose. On order, we are jointly paying for the Aristocraft 4 Road Number USMC Boxcars. It's going to set back my layout efforts and luxury items, but It's a gift I felt he'd enjoy. No pictures atm because we've wrapped up the the USA Equipment and are still waiting for the Boxcars. But I'll make sure to take some when he opens the set on his birthday. EMD, any reccomendations for DCC/Sound for the GP7? I want him to be able to use them on my layout when I start prepping it for outdoors.
